Stella Robertson, Ph.D.

Stella Robertson is an experienced pharmaceutical Research and Development executive who helps entrepreneurs and start-ups launch and grow emerging technology companies. She is the founder and owner of Arrochar Consulting LLC, specializing in due diligence, translational research, product development and the life sciences. Stella is a member and investor with Cowtown Angels, an angel investment network based in Fort Worth, and a founding partner in Bios Partners, a private equity firm focused on life-giving therapeutic technologies. She is a volunteer and mentor with TECH Fort Worth, a local non-profit incubator/accelerator, and a volunteer faculty with the Ophthalmology Department at UTSW in Dallas. Stella serves as a corporate board member, board observer, and scientific advisor for early stage companies.

Stella formerly was a Vice President in R&D at Alcon Laboratories, Inc., a Division of Novartis, where she grew and led organizations that were responsible for the ophthalmic pipeline, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices. During her tenure at Alcon she and her colleagues successfully developed, registered, and globally launched sixteen ophthalmic medications to treat ocular allergy, pain, inflammation, glaucoma, uveitis, and infection, and also medications for otitis and nasal allergy. She has over 25 years of experience in applied research and global product development, including R&D strategies, project management, clinical trials, market support, external collaborations, compliance, and medical communications.

Dr. Robertson received an AB in Biology and Education from Goucher College, a PhD in Biology from Johns Hopkins University, and was an Arthritis Foundation post-doctoral research fellow at the UTHSC in Dallas. She attended the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School. She holds a number of patents and is the author or co-author of over 50 publications.

Michael L. Stoltz, MD, FACP

Michael Stoltz is a physician and Fellow in the American College of Physicians. He practiced clinical Nephrology with Dialysis associates in Fort Worth, Texas and served in multiple leadership positions including president of Dialysis associates; chief of staff at Harris Methodist Hospital, Fort Worth; chairman of the ESRD network in Texas and chairman of the Texas Health Resources (THR’s) Physician Leadership Council. Dr. Stoltz was an executive vice-president at Texas Health Resources and president of Texas Health Physician’s group. He recently has been a mentor for Health Wildcatters, a Dallas entrepreneurial incubator, and is a board member of Cariloop, Inc.

Dr. Stoltz is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and attended the University of Missouri Medical School in Columbia Missouri. He did his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas and also completed his Fellowship in Nephrology at U.T. Southwestern. Dr. Stoltz has published studies in transport kinetics during dialysis and clinical case studies in fluid and electrolytes. Dr. Stoltz was a flight surgeon in the U.S. Army serving in Korea and Washington, D.C. He is married to Elaine Wyett Stoltz and they have two children Michael Wyett Stoltz of Great Falls Virginia and Elyse Stoltz Dickerson of Fort Worth, Texas.

David W. Stroman, Ph.D.

An accomplished senior executive with more than 40 years of industrial experience in microbiology including molecular microbiology and the design and management of anti-infective clinical studies. Dr. Stroman has extensive experience in leading programs and projects R&D in large and small biotechnology companies. He has a proven track record of approvals and clearances of drugs and devices through the US FDA as well as many countries around the world. He has formed and managed several biotechnology companies in the US and one in Germany. He has served on the Board of Directors of 5 companies, spent several years licensing biotechnology products and technology in and out for a large company, is an inventor on more than 10 patents, and has published more than 25 peer-reviewed articles.

He did his undergraduate studies in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics at Bethany Nazarene College (Southern Nazarene University). He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Oklahoma Medical School. Dr. Stroman was awarded a NCI fellowship for studies in the Microbiology and Immunology Department at Washington University Medical School (St. Louis). Thirty-eight years of his industrial career were spent with The Upjohn Company, Phillips Petroleum Company, and Alcon Research Laboratories.

Darrel Hicks, BA, Master REH, CHESP, Certificate of Mastery in Infection Prevention (ESP)

He has written and published numerous articles in professional and healthcare related journals as part of his commitment to providing a cleaner, safer and healthier indoor environment.

He began his career in 1981 in the management of housekeeping services and recently retired as the former Director of Environmental services at a 500-bed, award-winning hospital in the United States. Darrel is the owner/principal of Darrel Hicks, LLC. His enterprise specializes in B2B consulting, webinar presentations, seminars and facility consulting services related to cleaning and disinfection.

In 2015, along with Michael Diamond, Darrel was a co-founder of Infection Control Tips. Hicks was President of the IEHA-Uniting Facility Managers Worldwide during the term 2006-2008 and holds the title of MASTER Registered Executive Housekeeper (MREH).

He is an active member of both the AHE (Association for the Healthcare Environment) where he holds the designation of CHESP (Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional) and CMIP (Certificate of Mastery in Infection Prevention), and APIC (the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology) professional groups.

Darrel is accredited as an official ISSA Cleaning Industry Standard Certification Trainer and Certified as an EXPERT TRAINER.

In 2010, Hicks authored “Infection Prevention for Dummies”, a 43-page, pocket-size book with topics such as: Use cleaning techniques to keep infection at bay; Match the disinfectant to the situation; Understand disinfectant label claims; Keep your environment healthy.
